This bowed, double-slab ash table came down in Higganum, CT—nearby our furniture shop.  Ash is known for its flexibility, often used for making bows.  The Morgan Motor Company still uses Ash to build its sports car chassis.  (That last fact was Wikipedia, but a picture on their website does show a wooden chassis.)

We liked the way this double bow table worked with our metal base that we’ve made it part of our furniture line.
